After a Friday night along the lines of this (getting irritated with picture-boy on this one, and just wanting to drink my martini already!!) ....I hate posing after work, with after-work makeup and hair. Yuck!
I got up to the armholes and joined the body on the Turtleneck Tube Vest - here's my post about it on the Fitted Knits Along site....but here's a pic. I'm really happy with how this is turning out! Jim remarked that he thought this will be one of my best knits (interesting, as it's one of the simplest) and that he really likes it.
I also started and finished the "ladder lace section" (middle part) of the Ribs and Lace Tank. I am making this a lot shorter than it says to in the pattern. It said the finished length was like 24"!! Hello, my whole body is 61"!!! I measured another similarly shaped top (that goes to my hip) and it was 16.5" from the bust to the hem. I just switched to the size 3 addis (had to go down one needle size on both sections) though for the top ribbing and I have a feeling this will be a little slower going. Oh well, I am really happy to be at this point!
I also 1.) bought a new router and set up a new network for my high speed internet connection at home as I just got a new laptop at work that didn't work with the old technology 2.) caught up on three "modules" of lectures for my online class while I worked on Ribs and Lace 3.) worked on my paper for the financial analysis class 4.) read the FINAL chapter for my financial analysis class 5.) did my homework for the FINAL chapter of my financial analysis class 6.) went out for sushi and martinis at my favorite sushi place, Blu Coral 7.) went out to Carlucci's tonight for dinner and 8) even did my treadmill this morning. Whew. I am EXHAUSTED.
Tomorrow starts my 7:30 days at work as we start our "summer hours" (Friday afternoons off) so I have to make sure I get up in time to do the treadmill. I cannot wait for that (summer hours, not the treadmill) either. This financial analysis class is one more week (final a week from tomorrow) so that will be a relief. Even though it is pretty easy, it is still a lot of homework and takes a lot of time.
I think I am going to go to bed early and listen to an audiobook and relax. I'm still listening to the 2nd book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon - Dragonfly in Amber. It is taking me awhile to get through this one. Each book in the series is about 40 hours of listening time, and I'm about 20 hours into the 2nd book now. It is really really really detailed but good.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Wow the turtleneck is looking nice. It's one of my favorite knits from the book. I can't wait to see how it turns out for you!

Boy you were a busy girl, all the projects look great. Sounds like summer hours means more time to knit!

Whew! I sounds like you had a busy, but fun weekend. I am the picture taker in our family and hubby always gets aggravated after the first couple of shots!
Your Ribs & Lace tank is coming along really nicely! I can't wait to see it finished.
I finally reached the ribbing section on my TTV this morning. I brought it with me to work again because there isn't much else going on around here. I have found that I have to make the bust portion on my tops longer than the patterns say. I guess it is all in learning to fit the tops to yourself.

I'm still laughing about (picture boy) hee hee. Your knits are coming along so beautifully! I'll bet you have at least one of those done this week. You really know how to make the most of your time! Brava!

Incredible Weekend...I spent the entire weekend not feeling so well...But I got in some knitting and crocheting. The Ribs and Lace is looking good. I definitely agree with the adjustments...I'm only 5'4" with a short torso, so I feel your pain. Do you find the cotton fleece plys unravel? Its driving me nuts...I'm I doing something wrong? I but I'll press on with the cast-on.. Also..I LOVE SUSHI!!! I only eat cooked fish, but I LOVE IT!! Anything Tempura with Masago, avocado, cream cheese....maybe one day I'll venture out and try sashimi or nigiri...What do you like?

Whoa, what a crazy weekend! But, I do like the way your weekend started-I'm definitely adding a cosmo to my Friday night routine. Thanks for adding me to your bloglines. I added you to mine too. :)

Even with all the homework, it looks like you've gotten a lot of knitting done!

Both projects are so lovely. And there is nothing more enjoyable than a book on tape!

Be totally honest - are you taking some drogs? I mean - day job and so much of knitting?... Are you even from Earth?

That Martini is looking good! Yum.
Both tops are coming along great. I would probably cut length off the Ribs and Lace too and I have a long torso. I really am anxious to see both of these finished up!

Mmmm.... that martini looks *yummy*! Maybe a Ruby-tini? Great job on all your knits! I'm so jealous, as I haven't had any time to knit lately :( Those "summer hours" at work sound pretty nice!! Hope your week is starting off great...

I don't know if I mentioned this before but the Outlander books are the few books that I have reread. Voyager, the third book was my favorite.
