I just did something a little bit crazy, but I feel excited about it. I signed up for a class in the Fashion Merchandising/Design program at my local community college – Clothing Construction I. I’ve tried a number of more hobby-oriented sewing classes and none have given me the structure and depth (and seriousness) I’ve been looking for, so I thought this one would be the perfect class. It is LONG (starts the last week of August and ends in the third week of December) and is once a week on Tuesday nights, from 6 – 10 pm, so I am sure to be an expert at sewing after that much time devoted to it.
They also offer two machine knitting classes, which I know Heather has taken at least one of, and I am super jazzed about learning how to ultimately design clothes. All assuming I like the first class. Check out all these classes that they offer - almost all of them sound super interesting!!
