Doesn't it feel nice to buy a car with cash? That's what we did with our car (also used, and also going to be kept for a long time... Volvos never die.)

Debby

Congratulations Jim -- that is awesome!!! 30 degrees on a motorcycle??? Egads. Enjoy that heating and navigation system -- you have earned it.

Kim

Oh, I was hoping it was a super-hero cape!!

Michelle

The sweater looks good so far! The color is great! The nw car looks good too! I have a GPS on my Christmas list!

That's awesome about the car. I'm a drive-it-til-it-dies kind of person, too. I had a Hyundai Elantra for 11 years that I sold only because I couldn't fit 3 carseats for kids in the back. The Jeep is really nice!

Amanda

ooh, pretty sweater and car! Just don't drive into the pond if the nav tells you to (Office Reference)!

Carol

Was he disappointed he didn't get to flip us off? Yay for new wheels! I am a big fan of pay cash for a used vehicle and drive it into the ground. The last car we bought used and drove until it was 15 years old. Would have kept driving it but it was stallingout unexpectedly and my very good mechanic couldn't figure it out. Our best guess was that something was wearingout, but until it croaked outright, it wasn't findable. since it would only stall for me dontcha know? Bought a 1998 Crown Victoria in 2004 just a couple of months before the other car cut out completely. So we just had it towed to the junkyard. Still dribing the Crown Vic. Might need to do a little bodywork ont he wheel well where there is some rust, but I am not giving some bank my interest money. i can save it thank youvery much!

So, I fully support you in your vehicular choices....

I've never knitted anything for hubby! But sometimes he is good model!

About Me

  • I love to knit and sew, although not as obsessively as I used to. Now I'm more focused on quality over quantity as I have less free time to work on crafting now that I have started a new, more demanding (but rewarding) job. I'm RobinM on Ravelry and RobinMCPA on Twitter if you want to stop by and say hi!
