I finally finished the Simplicity 4074 wrap dress (view B)
after multiple times of ripping it out and redoing. Luckily it didn't look totally worked over. Here it is - I wore it to work yesterday and also when Jim and I went out for dinner last night, so I got him to take some quick pictures before we left for dinner. We haven't been going out much lately because of school and everything else.
Now my hair looks a lot darker in these pictures because it's indoors and at dusk, but it does actually look like that under those conditions. The camera is dead on accurate with its color!
Tonight I have my midterm exam, and tomorrow night I have someone coming by to purchase my Viking 936 serger - cash and carry - perfect! I had replaced it with two separate machines, which I like for my purposes as I work on multiple projects at a time and always like having the right machine that I need already set up and ready to go. I sold it through a free classified ad on Patternreview.com, which was fabulous as I didn't need to deal with Ebay and pay them a fee, and now because the buyer is local, ship it anywhere.

Turned out really nicely. Can't tell you re-worked it at all!
And woo hoo on local sales! Not paying a fee to Ebay or Paypal is a good thing. I get tired of the fee for the fee on the fee things that keep happening.

Cute dress. I love that fabric. That's awesome about the Viking! How are you liking the Janome serger?

I agree with the others - not worked over looking at all. Great dress with the perfect fabric. I got a new Singer Serger this weekend - just the basic 4 spool type, but haven't even watched the video on how to use yet. I know I'll be psyched once I get it going.

Wow --- everyone is having midterms but us. We're still almost a month away!
Did you find your yarn at Little Knits?

Awesome job on the dress. I agree with everyone else you can't tell that it was reworked.
I hope your midterm went well. Good luck tomorrow with the Viking Sale.
I received the last cd yesterday. I'm still on New Moon. It's getting good now. Thanks sooo much.

The dress looks great!! I love your hair color and that's really cool the camera captures the colors as they are in real life too! Good luck on the midterm!!

The dress turned out very well.
I've noticed differences in my photos depending on the light also. And when I look at the item being photographed, the camera really is "right", even though my mental image of the color is how it looks when I'm knitting it under an Ott light.

Woohoo! The dress looks great. I just finished the wrap top from this pattern, with a lot of reworking though.
