I finished weaving in the ends/grafting the armholes on Snow White today and got Jim to do a mini photo-shoot before we went out for lunch. I just have to say, this knit looks so long and narrow when it's not being worn, but when I put it on, I felt amazing. I don't have any other knits that make me feel this, well, SEXY when I put it on. Part of it could be that padded strapless bra, though. I usually don't wear padded bras as I like a more natural look, but my only strapless one (which was necessary with this neckline) is one of those VS crazy padded numbers. Anyhoo... feeling a bit like Olivia Newton-John in Grease in the "post-makeover, bad girl" phase, with the hair done out to match, or maybe one of those 50's pin up gals, here I am:
and here's a picture I took of myself in the mirror while I was waiting for Jim to get up and be my photographer - I am just so HAPPY with this thing!
And all the vital stats:
Pattern: Snow White by Ysolda Teague (thank you, Ysolda!)
Size: 32
Yarn: Brooks Farm Riata
Mods: only to the length of the sleeves and body.
Did I mention this one won't be worn to work? It's kind of nice to have made a top that's clearly for my personal life, that can't really multitask to be work appropriate....

Love the neck line, although I would never be comfortable wearing a strapless bra (I just can't keep them up!), it looks great on you :)

It looks great! I had thought about knitting this one, but I was afraid the neckline would be either too low or too wide or both. I'm glad for your info about needing the strapless bra -- I figured I would probably need some non-standard undergarment in order to wear it.

You look great in Snow White and the colour really suits you. The neckline reminds me of something Marilyn Monroe might have worn. It's a Wow for sure.

That turned out great--and it is another great color for you. It is nice to have a few things that you really like and aren't "work clothes".
