I have startitis again and have cast on two new projects.
Diamond Halter (not looking too exciting yet - using Karabella Aurora 8 from stash)
and #14 Leaf Yoke Top from the most recent issue of Knit.1 (I am really liking that magazine lately! It used to be that Interweave was my favorite, but not lately!)
I'm making that one in Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in "Wild Orange" (from stash).
Also, here's a pic of Ramona - I'm about to do the hem and start the sleeves. This one will be seamed up the center with a visible-to-the-outside seam, per the design.
That one is in Laines du Nord Cashsilk in "emerald", from last year's Stitches Midwest haul. I love this yarn and plan to buy some more of it.
No updates on Hourglass Jacket (still in crochet ribbing he&&) or the Sampler Afghan (almost done with one of four five-panel sections and one of the two 60" long side panels, though! Plus I have three extra squares done that were easy and mindless to repeat, and will be part of the other five-panel sections.)
Here's some new knit fabric I bought though at Vogue Fabrics recently - I bought 4 yard increments for most this time to account for the possibility of needing extra lining fabric or fuller/bias cut dresses:
3 yards of this
4 yards of this - this will be a maxi dress once I do a trial run in a smaller piece of fabric - I'll still have fabric left over, but I don't want to cut into this for anything that isn't PERFECT
4 yards of this - I'm thinking multi-tiered dress

and 2 3/4 yards of this - all they had left on the bolt
Love all of these!!

Cool fabrics! The last one is very Amy Butler-y!

The leaf yoke top is VERY you! Did you see the one on Ravelry that the gril just made the yoke and then added a sewn bodice? I can sooooo see you doing that!

Oh.., I so wish I could knit as well as you. The fabric is beautiful. I received a Vogue Sale paper on Saturday. Lots of stuff on sale. I'm trying not to go there. lol I have so much fabric already. Love the knit for the maxi dress.

Maxi dress! Woo hoo! I really like the look of them. sadly, most of them are made for women with amazonian (read TALL) proportions. Which is not me! Yours should turn out well, custom fit as it will be!

I am still laughing at startitis, I love that. lol

The leaf yoke top should turn out nicely. I've got a few more inches to go on mine. Do you like the Sensual Knits book? Is Ramona the only pattern you will be knitting from it?

You just crank out the sweaters! Love your projects.

I love all your new WIPs, but esp. the Leaf Yoke top. I used to buy Knit.1 all the time and then stopped, but the latest issue looks great and I may cave yet!
Those fabrics are fantastic. The maxi dress sounds really cool!

Those yarns look yummy! I am using the same shade of Cotton Fleece for the cover cardigan from the Summer Vogue!! I LOVE Cotton Fleece!
:O)

I can't believe how fast you knit! I can't wait to see the leaf yoke sweater. That one appealed to me the most in that magazine. I, too, have become disenchanted with IK. I didn't even buy the latest one (my subscription ran out). I never thought of doing that pattern in cotton fleece. I'll have to consider that since I have some in my stash!

Oh, that fabric for a maxi dress is PERFECT! My local store has some fabric and when I saw a Patternreview today for a maxi dress, I instantly knew that the fabric at my local B&M store would be perfect for it. Next trip to Walmart will include the McCall's maxi dress pattern! Just one...it's a very 2009 style.
