I had a fabulous weekend - first off, Cavalia was a great show! What I didn't know before I got there is that we had the "Horse Lover" tickets, which meant that we were in the first four rows, AND got to go "backstage" and see the horses after the show. I would have liked to pet them, but that wasn't allowed. It was amazing to see them though and I wish I could have taken pictures! They really were beautiful!
At the 50th birthday party I went to on Saturday, we took the bike (about an hour ride) and as we don't drink when taking the bike anywhere, I drank COFFEE. That is bizarre for me at a party, but I really enjoyed it. I wasn't tired and I was really into making conversation with everyone. I think coffee may be my new beverage of choice at parties....I must be getting old.
On Sunday, I finished the second sleeve on Broderie, and got all 191 stitches evenly picked up on the bottom half of the waistband. I have about an inch done below that now. Loving this project, it is just so much fun to knit with the two stitch patterns and I love the Cashcotton yarn.
I'll sign off with a funny picture Jim took of me yesterday after he washed the bike:
Me on my bad-ass Road King...

Where's the yarn/fabric-carrying attachment?

Ha! Cute picture! I think I like the coffee at parties idea. I would definitely be more chatty! Joe usually doesn't let me get Starbucks after 5PM because he says I turn into a gremlin. Lots of chatty chatty chatty after all that caffeine & sugar I guess. ;)

Great picture! I think that the coffee is a great idea, too. A lot less calories than my typical wine, too.

A warning, as I got older the coffe would rebound on me & wake me up for several hours at say 2 am, but love it for as long as you can.

Haha! Catching up on your blog posts - good for you for getting on a better health kick! Love this pic of you. You are so tiny you look like a little kid on the bike. :)

Hmmm, is that approved biker wear? Seems a little light on the leather to me :)

Now, as a mother I am compelled to ask: Where is your helmet? Where are your leathers? You are not going out on the bike dressed like that, young lady. Now, as not a mother, cute chick on a hot bike! Awesome! Have you ever biked down the Oregon coast highway? I will think of you next time we drive it in our staid middle-aged mobile.
