The new Twist Collective issue is up and I ended up buying four patterns yesterday. I really like the quality of the designs they're publishing. This season seems to be all about the cardigan and also about a more classic look. I've noticed a lot of round-yoke sweaters in the various knitting publications lately too.
I bought Vine Yoke by Ysolda Teague - love her patterns - so far I've only made her Snow White but I plan to make more. I think I'm using some winey-purple Riata for this.
Suvi S. has a new design called Low Tide Ripples, which I also bought. She was the designer of the "Baby Cables and Big Ones Too" design I knit in the bright green cashmere a while back.
I also bought Audrey in Unst - this is the quintessential retro looking fitted cardigan. I'm not familiar with the designer, Gudrun Johnston, but I really like this design.
And last but not least, my new best friend Connie Chang Chinchio has another cute cardigan design - Peyton - which I also purchased. I am really liking her stuff lately. Speaking of which, I got my clasps in the mail from House of Anoria yesterday and they look great - lightweight, delicate, nicely finished. I'm a fan. Now to sew them on and model Broderie, finally!
On Friday I'm going to a Twist Collective trunk show here - I hope they have the new fall stuff, but I will still feel like it's worthwhile even if they don't. I've never been to this shop before, so that will be fun as well to check out a new place.
Did you read about the August contest on the Twist blog? Basically, every pattern purchased is an entry into a contest for MORE patterns. That's how I justified buying three patterns on Sunday. :P

I feel in love with Vine Yoke Cardigan by Ysolda and have cast on already in Araucania Nature Wool in a purple/wine colour too. I also bought Audrey in Unst and have ordered the BMFA BFL sport yarn in Winter Solstice (semi-solid light grey). There are so many great patterns about I've also cast on Vine & Trellis pullover from Fall 09 IK. Can't wait to see how your Vine Yoke turn out.

Great choices! I used to have an angora sweater a lot like Novak that was beautiful, but so annoying with all the flying fuzz. So I might have to re-create my old favorite sweater. Loved this issue!

I bought the Vine Yoke Cardigan too. I fell in love with that one! I studied the pattern but haven't fully digested certain parts of it. I have to really go over it and make sure I understand it all!

Newbie-ish question - why are the buttonholes like that? Is that part of the design or did they sew the button too tight? I see this "pulling" around the buttonholes all the time and wondered.

I love this issue of Twist Collective. It is fabulous. Vine Yoke Cardigan was my favorite! I think I need to buy yarn for that one too.
