Friday afternoon I went grocery shopping and we ended up staying in and snacking on sandwiches with the fresh french bread and meats I bought. Not fancy, but fun and tasty (and cheap!) Worked on Broderie and cut out Butterick 5243.
Saturday - Jim played golf in the morning, I ran some errands (getting my "skinny jeans"- Lucky Sweet-n-Lows - hemmed as they fit now - yay! - and getting some shoes fixed that I've been wanting to repair for awhile) and went to Ulta for some new bronzer and perfume (got Mediterranean by Elizabeth Arden.) Hung out for awhile around the house then went downtown to our friends' place for dinner (shrimp & sausage gumbo - delicious.)
Sunday - went to Container Store to return some stuff that we didn't need for one of our home dec projects, went to Borders and picked up the new Knitscene, went home, worked on Butterick 5243, determined it was a trainwreck and turned it into a cat blanket. The neckline was way too large and went down too low, despite going down two sizes. I had wondered why a lot of people hadn't made it over on Patternreview, and now I know why. I threw out the pattern. Next I worked on Broderie and watched movies (Premonition and In Her Shoes.) Finished body on Broderie and one of the neckbands. Probably 2 more hours to go on this, not including sewing in the sleeves and possibly redoing the bindoff on the body as it is curling a bit at the bottom.
That's pretty much it! It was fun. Hope to have some pictures to go along with some of this very soon!
Yay for the skinny jeans fitting! Hooray!

Your cats are going to have some very fancy blankets. I always had the fantasy that I'd cut up my less-than-perfect garments and make a quilt out of them. But I just have a bag of scraps and rejects.
Congratulations on the skinny jeans.

Skinny jeans fit!!!! Yay you!
I also do the fresh bread and meats lunch/dinner sometimes. In fact, that's lunch today. Ace Bakery baguettes are the best!
