Last night I cast on Sylvar, with my new Miss Babs yarn in the "Roasted Pumpkin" colorway...yum. Mojo is BACK.
Here are my long overdue pictures of my SP14 final package and big reveal - first, when I was opening the package last week, Jim took pictures of me with my old camera as it was sitting on the kitchen counter at the time, but because I had taken the card out of it they were stored on the camera itself. And...I hadn't been able to locate the cord for that camera for a really long time, I ended up ordering another one. It arrived yesterday so now I finally have my pictures.
In the meantime, I had taken backup pictures with my real camera (the Canon Digital Rebel DSLR) - they look a lot better, so I'll show those. The other photos fully reveal what I look like at the end of a long day without makeup and in very bad lighting. Jim thinks they are cute, though (bless that man's heart!) so I thought I'd share - they're in my photostream if you click into any of the other photos.
First, some yummy Ghirardelli chocolate squares and some other chocolate candies- my pal remembered that I like milk chocolate, not dark, and my peanut butter-chocolate love:
A full bag of Vickie Howell "Craft" (part milk fiber) yarn in a great teal color
Some gorgeous sock/scarf yarn from CraftsMeow (this will become significant later - also recall the other CraftsMeow yarn I received in the last package)
A cute insulated cooler bag - this will come in handy for my all-day-Saturday sewing classes - I was just saying I needed one of these bags!
A pair of Halloween socks
Some really cute kitty stitch markers (my pal must know my obsession with really cute stitch markers, and that I can never have too many of them) and Halloween pumpkin earrings
The last thing was something for my kitties - some "Whisker Lickin" treats - let me tell you, my cats LOVED these, and they are not usually up for treats (except for the "people food" variety like little bits of deli ham, salmon, or yogurt right out of the container I'm eating from).
Gilda and FatKat really appreciated these!
And now for the Big Reveal - my Secret Pal this round was Gwen of CraftsMeow!! Yes, she is the creator of all these great CraftsMeow yarns that she sent! Thanks again for everything, Gwen! You were a great pal!

Nice loot! I love the kitty photo with Fat Kat's leg resting on Gilda! (I do have them right?) So cute!

Knitting seems SO hard to me. All I can knit is a round dishcloth, and it takes all I have in my to get one done. Heaven forbid the phone should ring! You make it look so fun and productive. My sister is like you. How does one get to that point? Classes? You are so inspiring, both in your sewing and your knitting!

I love the pic of your girls! So cute! I got one of those insulated bags over the weekend too. I had mine embroidered with my name on it so no one at my house is "confused" about who it belongs to. ;)
