I actually finished this the day before Thanksgiving and wore it that day, but didn't get pictures. Here it is today - I wore it to work.
Pattern: Mondo Cable Cardi by Bonne Marie Burns (chicknits.com)
Yarn: 3 skeins of Dream in Color Classy, in "Shiny Moss"
Size: 34, but see mods
Mods: no armhole stitches were cast on after separating the sleeves. To give it the look shown in the original pattern pic, about 2" of sleeve stitches were supposed to be cast on under each arm. I knew that more "closed up" or swingy looking cardigans don't work great on me, so I decided to just eliminate those cast on stitches and have a more open look. The finished bust measurement on mine is about 30". I also did the 1" collar option (there are options for 1", 2" and 4" - the latter is the version shown in the pattern pic) and decided not to do the two buttons at the neck.
Verdict: This pattern was very quick and easy to knit! I liked the subtle variegation of the Dream in Color Classy yarn but was not crazy about the fact that there was a knot (sometimes two knots) in each skein. The yarn wasn't super soft to knit with but it got softer and drapier once I washed it. I would use it again.

I love it! How many skeins did it take you? I love the look of that yarn, but am debating the cost.

Cute! My daughter has requested that I knit this sweater for her, and I'm thinking about using the Dream in Color again. I used it for my Feb Lady Sweater and like the way that one turned out :-) I don't remember knots in the yarn, and I like the 'springy' feel and especially the overall dyed look.

That turned out great! I like your version better than the buttoned-at-the-neck version shown on the model.

I really like that color! It looks great, and I'm glad to see your review of the pattern - I bought it, but I've been procrastinating picking a yarn!

Oh, I thought I didn't care for this pattern but without that giant throat strangling collar I love it. What a great color for you, it looks fabulous!

It looks fantastic! It really helps that you know your body so well and how to adjust a pattern to really fit the way you want.

Looks great! I love the color of the yarn! I read a comment on ravelry that Dream in Color wasn't soft to knit with so I'm glad to hear that it softens up--particularly since I just bought 6 skeins of the chunky yarn!

What a great sweater! I love the subtle variation of color. The yarn I'm using for the Mr. Greenjeans is pooling a wee bit, and I'm trying not to get frustrated. I was hoping it would look more like your cardigan here.

Super cute! I love your mods and the color you choose. I started this sweater but didn't like the yarn I was using. Yours turned out great!

I've been behind in my blog reading, and I knew when I visited yours that you'd have five FOs.
That sweater is very nice, and the color is flattering. I think the mods you did work really well.

I have almost finished this sweater but the directions seem to be missing a portion for the neckline. I have picked up the 156 stitches but don't understand the rest of the pattern. I do want to make the color as pictures in the pattern with the buttoms. Can anyone help me - I have written to Chic Knits but get no response. saraellen412@comcast.net
