I swear I must be jinxing myself as yesterday I sewed up the Vogue dress - the good news is it looks fabulous on Dawn (my work friend/recipient of my inverse triangle shape garments). The garment adds waist and hip curves, which is great if you are somewhat lacking in them - not my situation! I will be hemming it for Dawn over the weekend and will show it modeled on her at some point. (It's very much a date night dress, in my opinion, so she probably won't be wearing it here to work, but I'll get her to take pictures at home.)
In the meantime, I still need to make my January garment (unless I count that one, which technically would be within the rules) so I think I'm going to make another Chetta B. faux wrap dress, except my challenge will be to modify the pattern so that it can be worn without a cami underneath. I should just need to raise the neckline to make that happen.
Oh no! Not another one! The pattern looked cool, anyway. I'm almost done with mine. Just need to set the sleeves in and hem the bottom edge!

I think part of the learning experience is making a few things that really aren't quite right for you. I still recall a pants suit (back in the days when that was cutting-edge fashion--don't laugh, they were new once) that had a U-shaped neck that was way too low on me. I wore it once and gave it to Good Will. After that I paid much attention to necklines.
